Dr. Katharina Scherer starts her junior research group at the IfMB on March 1. She is funded for 5 years by the NRW Returning Scholars Program 1of the Ministry of Culture and Education of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia. In her research, she will investigate the complex and dynamic processes of virus replication and host interaction in host cells using modern, high-resolution light microscopy technologies.
